    pSo while I#8217;m waiting for the new machine to show up on my doorstep, I#8217;ve been dusting some old tunes off that I could find in an old archive of files way back when./p pI found two songs./p pa href="http://www.spacesbetween.net/edgeoftheworld/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2007/1 1/chef-of-death-ride-into-the-light.mp3"Chef of Death - Ride Into the Light/a/p pa href="http://www.spacesbetween.net/edgeoftheworld/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2007/1 1/chef-of-death-unfinished-business.mp3"Chef of Death - Unfinished Business/a/p pYou#8217;re probably going to laugh when you hear them.  They sound dorky and dusty but otherwise a little bit respectable, I#8217;d hope.  These files are from college, from me experimenting with some software.  Before you make any assumptions, I did create everything from scratch more or less; all the percussion lines were written by me, I used a software synthesizer to create certain tones you hear as instruments, and I wrote the melodies and sequences.  It#8217;s nothing special, but I found it amusing./p pNow if I had my way, I#8217;d be writing much better music, but we#8217;ll see.  I forgot how hard and time consuming it is.  My old kung-fu instructor has offered to send me some of his basslines, and with some good percussion and some flourishes, I bet we could crank out something sick.  Check this out, it#8217;s a href="http://www.youtube.com/v/URUXV7wJP1Eamp;rel=1"Santanu/a playing the bass.  That#8217;s pretty sweet.  Imagine that with some crunchy drums and some other fancy crap and you#8217;ve got a song ready to go./p
